Have you ever faced a situation where the cargo needed to arrive ‘yesterday’ but is still at the supplier’s warehouse? When every hour matters, waiting another 20 days is not an option. In such situations, air freight can provide the speed required.
We organise air freight from cargo collection through import/export documentation and final delivery. Our team coordinates the process to help your shipment travel quickly and securely.
What is air freight?
Air freight is international cargo transport by passenger or freighter aircraft where speed is the main priority. Typical delivery may take around 3–9 days depending on origin, destination and routing. Because of its short transit time, air freight is commonly used for urgent or high-value shipments such as pharmaceuticals, selected food products, electronics and other cargo for which faster transport is commercially important.
Speed and safety come at a cost, so air freight requires a higher investment, but it can provide maximum value when time is critical to your business.
Air freight has high operating costs including fuel, airport charges, handling and aircraft operations. The freight price is influenced by route, distance and the cargo’s chargeable weight, which depends on both actual weight and dimensions.
Process
1. Service type and route selection
We select the appropriate air-freight solution based on urgency, cargo size, destination and budget.
2. Collection and preparation
The cargo is collected from the shipper, packed and labelled correctly and prepared for air transport.
3. Export and security formalities
The required export documents are prepared and the cargo undergoes the applicable airport acceptance and security procedures.
4. Air transport
The cargo is loaded onto the planned flight and transported directly or via a connecting airport.
5. Import and final delivery
At the destination airport, the required import formalities are completed and the cargo is handed over to local transport for delivery to the consignee.

Advantages
Air freight offers several advantages that make it the clear choice for certain shipments:

Speed
Speed is one of its main advantages – air freight can reach many countries around the world in a matter of days.
Flexibility
Air transport is suitable for many cargo types, from sensitive electronics to food products or pharmaceuticals, provided their specific transport requirements are met.

Security
Compared with other transport modes, air freight is subject to very high security requirements. Airports apply strict procedures to protect cargo, aircraft and passengers.
Tracking
Advanced systems allow the main stages of an air shipment to be tracked, helping you see where the cargo is and estimate its arrival time so that receiving and onward operations can be planned more effectively.
FAQ
Air-freight pricing is based on chargeable weight. This is determined by comparing the actual gross weight of the cargo with its volumetric weight. Because aircraft space is limited, light but bulky cargo may be charged according to volumetric weight when it is higher than actual weight.
Express air freight receives priority handling and is usually routed using the fastest available flights, often resulting in delivery within roughly 1–3 days depending on route and customs. Standard air freight can use more economical routings, connecting flights or consolidation with other cargo and may take around 3–7 days, but at a lower cost.
