Frequently Asked Questions
The infrastructure of our partner terminals supports a wide range of cargo, including bulk products such as grain, fertiliser and cement, selected liquid cargo, palletised goods, oversized and heavy cargo, and sea containers. The exact terminal and handling method are selected according to the cargo characteristics.
Ship chartering can be an economical option when cargo volumes are large enough to justify booking a vessel or part of its capacity, particularly for bulk, liquid or project cargo where standard container transport is not suitable or economical.
A Voyage Charter is used when a vessel is chartered for a specific voyage from one agreed port or area to another. A Time Charter means hiring the vessel for an agreed period, subject to the terms of the Charter Party, rather than for one specific voyage.
Cargo handling is performed using equipment suitable for the cargo and supervised by experienced logistics and terminal specialists. Where required, we can also arrange independent vessel or cargo surveys and cargo-insurance solutions.
