Door-to-Door Delivery

Logistics consists of many interconnected elements: carriers, port terminals, shipping lines, customs brokers, warehousing and more. Managing the whole chain requires knowledge and experience so that cargo transport is not only smooth but also efficient.

To simplify cargo transport for our clients, we offer door-to-door delivery. You provide the collection and delivery locations together with the required documentation, and we coordinate the rest.

What is door-to-door cargo delivery?

Door-to-door delivery is a comprehensive freight-forwarding service in which the forwarder arranges collection of the cargo directly from the sender’s specified location, such as a factory or warehouse, and delivery to the consignee’s address.

The process can include not only physical transportation but also document preparation, customs procedures, cargo handling, distribution, inspection and final delivery. The required services are coordinated through a single provider.

Transport options

Door-to-door delivery makes effective use of multimodal transport:

collection of cargo from port terminals and delivery by truck across Europe and other countries.

the container is delivered to the sender for loading, transported by vessel or rail to Klaipėda or another port/terminal, and then carried by road to the final destination.

urgent cargo collection, transport to the airport and rapid delivery to the consignee in the shortest practical time.

FAQ

Does your team handle all export and import formalities?

Yes. Where customs formalities are required for a particular route, we include them in the overall door-to-door plan. Customs brokers prepare and submit the required declaration data, while we coordinate that stage with the transport and terminal operations.

A logistics company regularly purchases significant volumes of transport, shipping, terminal and related services and therefore has negotiated rates and a broader partner network. This often allows us to offer a more competitive total cost than a customer purchasing each stage of the chain separately.

One partner manages collection, transport, transshipments, documentation, customs formalities and delivery. The customer does not need to communicate separately with every supplier, track multiple schedules or resolve coordination issues between different stages.
