Project overview
The TLC team contributed to a public-sector project of particular importance – transporting a patrol boat to Italy.
The vessel is intended for use by Lithuanian border guards off the coast of Italy, where it will support European border protection and participate in search-and-rescue operations at sea.
TLC experts coordinated the entire transport process, supervised loading and unloading, developed cargo-handling engineering solutions and arranged specialised diving services.

Challenge
Transporting a patrol boat is a non-standard project that requires loading, securing and discharge processes to be planned individually. Due to the cargo’s dimensions, construction and transport method, engineering solutions had to be coordinated, the vessel’s hull had to be safely secured to the deck of the cargo ship, and the actions of all specialists involved had to be precisely coordinated.
Our solution
The TLC team organised the patrol boat transport process and supervised the main project stages.
Loading and unloading operations were coordinated and individual engineering solutions for cargo handling were prepared and implemented. Divers were used when securing the patrol boat’s hull to the cargo vessel’s deck, ensuring specialised underwater services.
The entire process was planned so that the patrol boat would reach its destination safely and on time.
Result
The project was completed successfully and the vessel arrived at its destination on schedule.
It demonstrated the TLC team’s ability to manage complex, high-responsibility logistics projects requiring the coordination of transport, engineering solutions, specialised services and multiple participants.
Key project aspects
The TLC expert team organised the transport of the patrol boat to its destination in Italy.
During the project, the loading and unloading of the patrol boat were supervised while actions between the different parties involved were coordinated.
Due to the non-standard nature of the cargo, individual engineering solutions were required for loading, positioning and safe transport of the vessel.
Specialised diving services were arranged when securing the patrol boat's hull to the deck of the cargo vessel.
The project supported Lithuanian border-guard patrol and search-and-rescue operations off the coast of Italy.
Logistics for specialised vessels and project cargo
The transport of specialised vessels and other non-standard project cargo requires individual planning, engineering preparation and reliable partners.
TLC organises complex project-cargo logistics by coordinating loading and unloading, securing, specialised technical services and other transport stages for both private- and public-sector projects.
