“Inikti Wind” Wind Turbine Delivery

Project overview

The TLC team is delivering a wind-turbine logistics project for „Inikti Wind“, covering the delivery of 4 wind-turbine setsdelivery to construction sites in Lithuania. Two sets have already been delivered toŠilutė District, while two further sets are planned for delivery to Kelmė District. The project also included transport of turbine foundation rings.

Cargo of this type requires meticulous preparation, precise coordination and high safety standards throughout the transport process.

Challenge

Wind-turbine components are large and irregularly shaped, so transport from the warehouse to the construction site cannot be organised as conventional freight.

The transport sequence, route, escort and actions of all parties had to be agreed in advance to ensure safe delivery according to schedule.

Our solution

The TLC team prepared the project in detail and coordinated the transport of wind-turbine components from the warehouse to the specified construction sites.

Particular attention was given to transport safety, route organisation and convoy coordination. Every stage was planned to ensure that the non-standard cargo reached the customer safely and on time.

In addition to the turbine sets themselves, transport of turbine foundation rings was also organised.

Project progress

Pirmieji 2 of the 4 wind-turbine setshave already been successfully delivered to the Šilutė District. The remaining two sets will be transported to the Kelmė District. The project continues under the same principle – precise coordination of every transport stage with priority given to safe and smooth delivery.

Key project aspects

The project covers the transport of four wind-turbine sets to construction sites in Lithuania.

Two sets have already been delivered to Šilutė District, while two more are scheduled for Kelmė District.

Alongside the wind-turbine components, the TLC team also organised transport of the turbine foundation rings.

Because of the non-standard dimensions, transport is planned with great precision, including convoy arrangements, route coordination and safe delivery to the construction site.

Wind-turbine component logistics

Wind-energy project logistics requires individual planning because component dimensions, weight, route and construction-site conditions differ in each case.

TLC organises the transport of wind turbines, their components and other oversized cargo, coordinating routes, escort, partners and delivery to the final project site.
